This is Syl casting the Aegis spell which is also one of the strongest protection spells. Caster uses his/her energy and blood to maintain a stone wall around them. However, since this is very draining, it's not a good idea for anyone to use the spell. Aside from that, this particular Aegis spell is actually black magic, and black magic darkens the user's aura every time that person use it.
